This practice is called Japa. Using a Japa Mala with 108 beads, each bead becomes an anchor for your attention. As the mantra is repeated, the mind gradually settles, the breath finds its rhythm, and awareness becomes more present. For thousands of years, this has been one of India’s most cherished meditation practices, a path of devotion, presence, and inner stillness. This moment was filmed inside a temple in Rishikesh, during our retreat @rootsofbhakti Our next retreat is in March, in Varanasi, India, where these traditions continue to be lived every day. ?
