Bowing to the light within and around us. ? In Balasana (Child’s Pose), resting the forehead on the earth isn't just a physical stretch—it is an act of surrender (Ishvara Pranidhana). On this sacred night of Guru Purnima, we lower the heart above the head, quieting the ego to honor the wisdom that guides us. The Sacred Connection: Bowing the third eye: grounding the forehead directly touches the Ajna Chakra, awakening inner intuition and clarity. Expressing gratitude: honoring our teachers, our ancestors, and the ultimate Guru—the inner voice that leads us from darkness (Gu) to light (Ru). Turning inward: utilizing Pratyahara (withdrawal of senses) to listen to life's subtle lessons. May we always remain humble students on and off the mat. For the good of all, and harm to none. #gurupurnima #balasana #childspose #pratyahara #8limbsofyoga
