Avoiding knee rotation in Parsvottanasana and Virabhadrasana I. Lifting the inner upper thigh and the inner arch of the foot of the back leg ends up providing a better rotation of the pelvis without compromising the knee. Another quick solution is to simply lift the back foot and support the heel on a brick or a wall. What doesn’t allow the back foot to face forward is limited dorsiflexion that comes from either the talocrural joint not being able to dorsiflex or tightness in the gastrocnemius. . . . . #yogafunctionalanatomy #yogaanatomy #Yoga #asana #yogacorse #iyengaryoga #yogaportugal #aulasyoga #lisbonyoga #yogapractice #yogainspiration #yogapose #yogateacher #flexibility #yogaeveryday #yogi #yogajourney #yogaclass #onlineyoga #onlineyogaclasses #yogaprops #yogalisboa #yogascience #yogaanatomycourse #yogaalignment
