I used to overexercise. it’s so easy to fall into this trap: the endorphin rush of a good workout makes you feel so lively and joyous, that you don’t want to go a day without it. what starts to be a healthy habit, good for your physical and mental health, can quickly turn to an obsession. exercising is supposed to be beneficial, a moment to decompress. not a duty or an addiction. not leaving you anxious or exhausted when training less or missing a workout. there are a lot of consequences for over-exercising: insomnia, long-term muscle soreness, fatigue, decreased performance, appetite and mood swings, weak immune system, inflammation, injury, period loss, weight fluctuations. guess what: I had it all
