Yoga Life

Karol De Souza

I mean, I see all the beautiful pretzel poses on instagram, and don’t get me wrong it’s amazing to achieve such a form with your body, it takes resilience, discipline and dedication. But. How many of those “mat yogis” are taking the lessons out there and applying to real life? I’ve met so many so called yogis who are walking around thinking they’re better than other people with their egos up in the sky, being inflexible with life, tearing other people with judgement and superiority. I’ve also met great yogis who never even stepped on the mat, but can give the guy or girl in handstands a great lesson on humanity, compassion, humility and kindness. So I challenge you, to take the great lessons we practice on the mat, out to real life: flexibility in the body, but also in life. Gratitude on the mat, but also appreciation for everything and everyone you come across. Respect and kindness to yourself in your poses, but also humility and compassion out in real life. A true yogi doesn’t need to put his foot in the back of his head. What’s the true way of living yoga? And that’s exactly what I teach in my retreats, not a perfect “look at me pose”, or how I do pranayama every morning or even how I meditate everyday before I go to work kind of thing. What I’m passionate about teaching is how you can show up in life and actively be yoga and pure awareness in everything you do. Without the ego. Without the need for perfection. Without the judgement. Just everyday showing up as the best version of yourself.#yoga #yogapractice #yogajourney #yogalife #yogainspiration #yogateacher #yogaretreat #yogaretreats #yogaclass #yogagirl #yogaretreatportugal #mindfulness #mentalhealth #mentalhealthawareness #meditation #personaldevelopment #consciousliving#selfwork #dothework #health #healthy #healthylife #healthyliving #innerwork #selfhealers #breathwork #heal
